Honest answers about GLP-1 therapy, our program, and what to expect.
Your $299/month membership includes all six pillars of the Restora Health program: physician consultations and monthly check-ins with Dr. Kresch, comprehensive metabolic lab work, GLP-1 prescription management (Zepbound/tirzepatide preferred), ongoing HIPAA-compliant portal access to Dr. Kresch between visits, a personalized supplement protocol through Fullscript, and drug-agnostic continuity if your medication ever needs to change. There are no hidden fees, no add-ons required, and no tiers. The medication itself is purchased through your pharmacy (with or without insurance) and is a separate cost — we are transparent about this upfront.
Tirzepatide (Zepbound) is a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist. Clinical trial data shows superior weight reduction outcomes compared to semaglutide — the SURMOUNT-1 trial demonstrated up to 22.5% mean weight reduction vs. approximately 15% for semaglutide in comparable populations. It also has a favorable cardiovascular outcomes profile (SURMOUNT-MMO data). That said, Dr. Kresch is drug-agnostic. If insurance covers semaglutide but not tirzepatide, or if clinical factors make semaglutide a better fit, she will prescribe what is best for you. She does not have a financial relationship with any pharmaceutical manufacturer.
No. Restora Health prescribes FDA-approved brand-name medications — Zepbound (tirzepatide) and Wegovy/Ozempic (semaglutide) — manufactured by Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk respectively under full pharmaceutical quality controls. We do not prescribe compounded tirzepatide or semaglutide. The FDA removed compounded GLP-1 medications from the shortage list in 2025, meaning compounded versions are no longer legal in most circumstances. Beyond legality, compounded medications lack the manufacturing standards, stability testing, and clinical evidence of FDA-approved products. Our patients deserve pharmaceutical-grade medicine.
Dr. Kresch orders a comprehensive metabolic panel including: complete metabolic panel (CMP), complete blood count (CBC), full lipid panel, ApoB, Lp(a), hs-CRP, homocysteine, fasting insulin, HOMA-IR, HbA1c, TSH (thyroid), vitamin D, and B12. ApoB, Lp(a), and hs-CRP are now recommended by the 2026 ACC/AHA cardiology guidelines for all adults, yet most physicians still don't include them in routine panels. Fasting insulin and HOMA-IR detect insulin resistance years before blood sugar elevates — giving us the opportunity to intervene early. Labs can be drawn at any LabCorp or Quest location and are submitted through your insurance; out-of-pocket costs vary.
This is common, and Dr. Kresch navigates it frequently. The first step is a prior authorization — Dr. Kresch will submit the clinical documentation required (BMI, comorbidities, clinical indication) on your behalf. If PA is denied, she will assist with an appeal. If appeal fails, options include: Eli Lilly's savings card (which can reduce Zepbound to as low as $549/month for eligible patients), semaglutide if your insurance covers it, or evaluating your clinical picture to determine if a different approved approach is warranted. Restora Health does not have a financial interest in any specific outcome — we want you on the medication that is best for you and that you can actually access and afford.
Most GLP-1 telehealth services are platforms with many providers, often staffed by NPs or PAs. They route you through intake questionnaires, send a prescription, and offer limited follow-up. Restora Health is structured differently: one physician, Dr. Frayda Kresch, who manages every patient personally. Your consultation, your labs, your prescription decisions, and your portal messages are all handled by the same board-certified physician. We also include far more comprehensive labs than most services, build individualized supplement protocols, and are drug-agnostic — meaning your care doesn't end if one medication is discontinued or denied. The difference is physician-led versus platform-operated care.
Supplements are included in your program planning and Dr. Kresch will make specific recommendations based on your lab results — but they are not mandatory. If you are already taking supplements, she will review them for quality and appropriateness. If your labs reveal specific deficiencies (which is common on GLP-1 therapy due to reduced appetite and caloric intake), she will discuss why certain supplements matter for your outcomes, particularly around muscle preservation. Supplements are dispensed through Fullscript at a discount. You are not required to purchase through Fullscript — it is offered as a convenience and quality assurance.
The initial consultation is $150 for a 30-minute telehealth visit with Dr. Kresch. If you choose to join the Restora Health program after your consultation, the $150 is applied toward your first month's membership — so your first month is effectively $149 ($299 − $150). The consultation fee is non-refundable after the visit occurs, as it represents physician time. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. The consultation fee is HSA/FSA eligible. You are under no obligation to join the program after your consultation — if Dr. Kresch determines you're not a good candidate, she'll tell you plainly and the fee will not recur.
Restora Health is a cash-pay practice. We do not bill insurance directly. However, consultation and program fees are HSA/FSA eligible. For medication, Dr. Kresch will help you navigate insurance coverage for brand-name Zepbound — many patients obtain coverage. Lab work can typically be submitted through your existing insurance at LabCorp or Quest locations.

GLP-1 medications typically show meaningful results within 4–12 weeks. Most patients experience appetite suppression within the first 1–2 weeks. Significant weight loss typically accelerates between weeks 8–16 as dosing reaches therapeutic levels. Results vary based on adherence, starting dose, and individual metabolism. Dr. Kresch monitors your progress at each check-in and adjusts dosing protocol as needed. We do not make specific weight loss guarantees — results depicted are representative of what clinical trial populations achieved, and individual results vary.
No. Your membership is month-to-month and you can cancel anytime. There is no cancellation fee and no penalty for pausing. We prefer patients who stay because the care is excellent — not because they're locked in. To cancel, simply send a message through your Cerbo portal or email info@restorahealth.net before your next billing date.
